For the Chowan Basin...including Rawlings, Stony Creek, Sebrell, Lawrenceville, Emporia, Franklin...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Nottoway River at Rawlings. * WHEN...From this evening to early Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Water begins to flow across Harpers Bridge Road about an 1/8 of a mile north of the river. Farm land north of river along Beaver Pond Creek also floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:35 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 11.1 feet tomorrow morning.
