Flood Watch issued May 16 at 12:27AM CDT until May 17 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including the following counties, Collin, Comanche, Dallas, Denton, Erath, Hamilton, Hood, Jack, Kaufman, Lampasas, Mills, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, Wise, and Van Zandt. * WHEN...From 7 AM CDT this morning through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may become flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Advisory issued May 16 at 8:42AM CDT until May 16 at 10:45AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Palo Pinto and Parker Counties in North Texas * WHEN...Until 1045 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Weatherford, Mineral Wells, Azle, Briar, Willow Park, Reno, Aledo, Springtown, Brock, Hudson Oaks, Western Lake, Annetta, Graford, Poolville, Gordon, Palo Pinto, Cool, Lake Mineral Wells, Lake Palo Pinto and Lake Weatherford. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
