In Texas, Southern Orange County. * WHEN...Until noon CDT today. * IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 108 expected. * WHERE...Lower Jefferson, Northern Orange, Southern Orange, and Upper Jefferson Counties. * WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 10 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
