MATTHEWS, SUMMERTON, AND WILLISTON.

Special Weather Statement issued July 11 at 3:56PM EDT by NWS Columbia SC At 355 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Barnwell State Park, or near Denmark, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Barnwell, Bamberg, Denmark, Williston, Blackville, Branchville, Bowman, Barnwell State Park, Rivers Bridge State Park, Ehrhardt, Hilda, Rowesville, Snelling, Olar, Kline, Elko, Cope, Govan, Bamberg County Airport, and Barnwell County Airport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 26 near mile marker 169. Interstate 95 between mile markers 85 and 86. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central South Carolina.
