Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued July 16 at 6:27PM CDT until July 17 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Bismarck ND THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 491 IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NORTH DAKOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA PIERCE ROLETTE IN SOUTH CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA WELLS IN SOUTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA FOSTER THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF CARRINGTON, DUNSEITH, FESSENDEN, HARVEY, ROLETTE, ROLLA, RUGBY, SHELL VALLEY, AND ST. JOHN.

Heat Advisory issued July 16 at 12:19PM CDT until July 16 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Bismarck ND * WHAT...Heat index values and temperatures near 100. * WHERE...Southern North Dakota. * WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT /9 PM MDT/ this evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
