Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 4 at 10:29PM EDT until July 4 at 10:45PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ At 1029 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Red Bank to near Old Halfway to near Surf City, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. Locations impacted include... Toms River, Long Branch, Asbury Park, Lakewood, Jackson, Howell, Barnegat, Tinton Falls, Red Bank, Beachwood, Manasquan, Point Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights, Lakehurst, Farmingdale, Mantoloking, Allenwood, East Freehold, West Freehold, and Adelphia. This includes the following highways... Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 22 and 34. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 65 and 110. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
