Special Weather Statement issued July 18 at 2:25PM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT At 224 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles east of Divide to 15 miles north of Dillon. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
