Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, Moss Point, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, St. Martin, Diamondhead, Gautier, D'iberville, Lyman, Latimer, Gulf Hills, Gulf Park Estates, Vancleave, Hickory Hills, Kiln, Shoreline Park and Gulfport Airport. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 11 and 65. Interstate 110 in Mississippi near mile marker 1...and between mile markers 3 and 4. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
