Tornado Watch issued June 30 at 12:19AM CDT until June 30 at 2:00AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED TORNADO WATCH 419 TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREAS UNTIL 2 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA CARLTON LAKE ST. LOUIS IN WISCONSIN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 1 COUNTY IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN DOUGLAS THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF CASTLE DANGER, CLOQUET, DULUTH, SILVER BAY, SUPERIOR, AND TWO HARBORS. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE TRIBAL LANDS OF THE FOND DU LAC BAND, CLOQUET DISTRICT, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, SAWYER DISTRICT, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, BROOKSTON DISTRICT AND THE BOIS FORTE BAND, LAKE VERMILION AND, NETT LAKE AREAS.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 30 at 1:49AM CDT until June 30 at 2:15AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN At 149 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles north of City of Rice Lake to Moose Lake State Park, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Duluth, Superior, Cloquet, Hermantown, Two Harbors, Proctor, Scanlon, Carlton, Mahtowa, Wrenshall, Oliver, Thomson, Jay Cooke State Park, Wisconsin Point, Pike Lake Near Duluth, City of Rice Lake, Fond Du Lac Band Sawyer Area, French River, Gooseberry Falls State Park, and McQuade Harbor. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for northeastern Minnesota...and northwestern Wisconsin. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted, act quickly and move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure such as a basement or small interior room. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Two Harbors to Duluth MN... * Until 245 AM CDT. * At 138 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Two Harbors Protected Access Agate Bay to near Duluth Lift Bridge Channel to 6 nm southwest of Superior Harbor, moving east at 30 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include...
