Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Special Weather Statement issued June 28 at 7:04AM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN At 704 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from near Nicollet to 6 miles west of Elmore, or extending from 9 miles northwest of Mankato to 16 miles southeast of Fairmont, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40-50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Courtland, Lake Crystal, Amboy, Winnebago, Nicollet, Good Thunder, Blue Earth, Mankato, North Mankato, Mapleton, Elmore, Minnesota Lake, St. Clair, Eagle Lake, Madison Lake, Wells, Janesville, Elysian, Alden and Waseca. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions.
