Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued June 19 at 2:08PM CDT until June 19 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Grand Forks ND THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 355 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA WADENA IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA BECKER IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA OTTER TAIL THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF DETROIT LAKES, FERGUS FALLS, MENAHGA, SHOREHAM, STAPLES AIRPORT, TWO INLETS, AND WADENA.

Special Weather Statement issued June 19 at 2:39PM CDT by NWS Grand Forks ND Showers and thunderstorms have developed across portions of west- central into central Minnesota this afternoon. Conditions are favorable for funnel clouds with any thunderstorm that develops. These types of funnel clouds are usually short lived, however, they can and occasionally do touch the ground and cause minor damage. Therefore, if you see a funnel cloud, take cover immediately.
