Flash Flood Warning issued July 11 at 3:55PM CDT until July 11 at 6:30PM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA At 355 PM CDT, Broadcast media reported flash flooding in the Broadmoor, Sherwood Forest, Red Oak, and Shenandoah area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Broadcast media reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Baton Rouge, Baker, Merrydale, Westminster, Inniswold, Central, Shenandoah, Brownfields, Old Jefferson and Baton Rouge Airport. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

Southeastern Pointe Coupee Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Central West Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana... * WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 431 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
