Flood Warning issued June 19 at 10:24PM CDT until June 20 at 12:00PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following county, Marion. * WHEN...Until noon CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1021 PM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing flooding in Marion County, mostly in low lying areas and in the vicinity of creeks and rivers. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain fell last night and this morning. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hillsboro, Marion, Peabody, Florence, Goessel, Burns, Lincolnville, Ramona, Lehigh, Durham, Tampa, Lost Springs, Marion Lake and Pilsen. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
