Flood Watch issued June 21 at 7:00PM CDT until June 22 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kansas, including the following counties, in south central Kansas, Cowley and Sumner. In southeast Kansas, Chautauqua, Elk, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional round of showers and storms producing heavy rainfall will be possible this evening into tonight, causing additional flooding. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Neosho River near Parsons affecting Labette and Neosho Counties. Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties. Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas... Neosho River near Chanute affecting Allen and Neosho Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Erie. * WHEN...From late tonight to late Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Expect flooding of lowlands along the vicinity of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 26.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 30.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 29.0 feet. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Monday morning at 845 AM CDT.
