Flood Watch issued April 27 at 9:29PM CDT until April 28 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of west central Illinois, including the following areas, Hancock, Henderson, McDonough and Warren, southeast Iowa, including the following areas, Des Moines, Henry IA, Jefferson, Lee and Van Buren, and northeast Missouri, including the following areas, Clark and Scotland. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches in a short time are possible. With soils saturated from previous rainfall, this will lead to an increased risk of flash flooding. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
