Marine Weather Statement issued June 20 at 6:49PM EDT by NWS Miami FL The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM... At 649 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 7 nm west of Fort Lauderdale, moving southeast at 10 knots. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots and locally higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
