Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued June 24 at 3:01PM MDT until June 24 at 10:00PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 388 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN COLORADO THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL COLORADO TELLER IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO EL PASO IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO CROWLEY HUERFANO LAS ANIMAS OTERO PUEBLO THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF COLORADO SPRINGS, LA JUNTA, OLNEY SPRINGS, ORDWAY, PETERSON SPACE FORCE BASE, PUEBLO, ROCKY FORD, TRINIDAD, WALSENBURG, AND WOODLAND PARK.

Special Weather Statement issued June 24 at 4:04PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO At 404 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Gulnare, or 19 miles northwest of Trinidad, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Aguilar, Gulnare, and Boncarbo. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for southeastern Colorado.
