In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Sawyer and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the northwestern county of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Red Cliff Band, the Bad River Reservation, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County and the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley and, Lena Lake counties. Recreation spots such as the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and Madeline Island. * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms this evening will be capable of widespread rainfall of 1 to 2 inches with localized amounts of 3 or more inches possible. Brief periods of heavy rain may cause localized flooding. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Advisory issued June 5 at 4:05AM CDT until June 5 at 10:15AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...In Minnesota, Carlton and St. Louis Counties and Wisconsin, Douglas County. * WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 403 AM CDT Wednesday, local law enforcement reported some minor river flooding along the Nemadji river in Superior. Heavy rain in the advisory area that has fallen in the past 12 hours will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Duluth, Superior, Cloquet, Hermantown, Proctor, Scanlon, Carlton, Mahtowa, Oliver, Wrenshall, Holyoke, Thomson, Brookston, Jay Cooke State Park, Pike Lake Near Duluth, Saginaw, City of Rice Lake, Fond Du Lac Band Cloquet Area, Foxboro and Pattison State Park. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you can do so safely.
