Flood Watch issued April 29 at 7:36AM CDT until April 29 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Lake Charles LA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Evangeline, Northern Acadia, Northern Calcasieu, Northern Jefferson Davis, Rapides, Southern Acadia, Southern Calcasieu, Southern Jefferson Davis, St. Landry and Vernon and southeast Texas, including the following areas, Hardin, Lower Jefferson, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, Northern Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton, Southern Orange, Tyler and Upper Jefferson. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Flooding continues in portions of the watch area. Northern Jefferson County in southeastern Texas... Southwestern Newton County in southeastern Texas... Orange County in southeastern Texas... * Until 945 AM CDT. * At 444 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.
