Flood Watch issued April 27 at 12:29PM CDT until April 28 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Oklahoma, including the following counties, Atoka, Bryan, Carter, Cleveland, Coal, Garvin, Hughes, Jefferson, Johnston, Lincoln, Love, Marshall, McClain, Murray, Oklahoma, Payne, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Seminole and Stephens and northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer and Clay. * WHEN...Through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall is possible from repeated rounds of thunderstorms. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Little River near Tecumseh affecting Seminole and Pottawatomie Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little River near Tecumseh. * WHEN...From late tonight to tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flooding to depths of 1 foot occurs over croplands... pastures... and rural roads along the river. The area affected is entirely rural... and downstream of Lake Thunderbird... from near Macomb in Pottawatomie County to near Bowlegs in western Seminole County. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 3.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The Little River is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 12.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
