Some rural roads near the river begin to flood. Very minor flooding begins in Winnemucca with storm drain backups, and the lowest parts of town begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:15 AM PDT Monday the stage was 10.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:15 AM PDT Monday was 10.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning and continue falling to 8.4 feet Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 9.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.9 feet on 02/21/1962. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
