Tornado Watch issued May 26 at 4:05PM CDT until May 26 at 11:00PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 320 IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ILLINOIS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS CLINTON MARION WASHINGTON IN SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS MADISON MONROE RANDOLPH SAINT CLAIR IN MISSOURI THIS WATCH INCLUDES 17 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL MISSOURI COLE MONITEAU OSAGE IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI CRAWFORD FRANKLIN GASCONADE JEFFERSON SAINT CHARLES SAINT LOUIS SAINT LOUIS CITY WARREN WASHINGTON IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI IRON MADISON REYNOLDS SAINT FRANCOIS SAINTE GENEVIEVE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALTON, BELLEVILLE, CAHOKIA, CENTRALIA, CHESTER, EDWARDSVILLE, FARMINGTON, JEFFERSON CITY, SAINT CHARLES, SAINT LOUIS, SALEM, SPARTA, SULLIVAN, UNION, AND WASHINGTON.

Flood Watch issued May 26 at 2:34PM CDT until May 27 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Bond IL, Calhoun IL, Clinton IL, Fayette IL, Greene IL, Jersey IL, Macoupin IL, Madison IL, Marion IL, Monroe IL, Montgomery IL, Randolph IL, Saint Clair IL and Washington IL and Missouri, including the following areas, Audrain MO, Boone MO, Callaway MO, Cole MO, Crawford MO, Franklin MO, Gasconade MO, Iron MO, Jefferson MO, Lincoln MO, Madison MO, Moniteau MO, Montgomery MO, Osage MO, Pike MO, Reynolds MO, Saint Charles MO, Saint Francois MO, Saint Louis City MO, Saint Louis MO, Sainte Genevieve MO, Warren MO and Washington MO. * WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Another round of thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall through this evening, with between 2 and 5 inches possible. This threat will be heightened for some locations due to the heavy rainfall that has fallen since Friday afternoon. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Western Madison County in southwestern Illinois... Northwestern St. Clair County in southwestern Illinois... St. Louis City in east central Missouri... Northeastern St. Charles County in east central Missouri... Northeastern St. Louis County in east central Missouri... * Until 600 PM CDT. * At 511 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * This severe thunderstorm will be near... Florissant, Hazelwood, Ferguson, Overland, Jennings, Berkeley, Black Jack, St. John, Dellwood, and Normandy around 515 PM CDT. St. Louis, Bellefontaine Neighbors, Riverview, Spanish Lake, Pine Lawn, Moline Acres, Flordell Hills, and Glasgow Village around 520 PM CDT. Madison around 525 PM CDT. Granite City and West Alton around 530 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include Pontoon Beach, Hartford, Edwardsville, South Roxana and Roxana. This includes the following highways... Interstate 64 in Illinois near exit 9. Interstate 70 in Missouri near exit 231. This also includes Scott Joplin Historic Site, Confluence State Park, and Horseshoe Lake State Park. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
