Flood Watch issued June 21 at 7:00PM CDT until June 22 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kansas, including the following counties, in south central Kansas, Cowley and Sumner. In southeast Kansas, Chautauqua, Elk, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional round of showers and storms producing heavy rainfall will be possible this evening into tonight, causing additional flooding. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Warning issued June 21 at 2:25PM CDT until June 21 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Street flooding, county road flooding, and small stream flooding caused by last night's heavy rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Kansas, including the following counties, Butler, Cowley, Harper, Kingman, Reno, Sedgwick and Sumner. * WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 225 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicate between 3 and 6 inches of rain occurred last night across the warned area. This is causing flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, city streets, and other low-lying and flood- prone locations. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Derby, Arkansas City, Winfield, Haysville, Wellington, Mulvane, Rose Hill, Kingman, Clearwater, Cheney, Douglass, Belle Plaine, Harper, Conway Springs, Oxford, Garden Plain, Udall, Pretty Prairie and Burden. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
