In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin and Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Owen and Vigo. * WHEN...From this afternoon through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall will impact southwest parts of central Indiana from this afternoon through early Saturday. 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected with locally higher amounts. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Wabash River at Vincennes. Wabash River at Riverton. White River at Hazleton. White River at Petersburg. Wabash River at Mount Carmel. Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. .Minor flooding continues on the White River from Petersburg down to the Wabash and on the Wabash River from the Hutsonville area down to Mount Carmel. The crest on the White was near Hazleton while the crest on the Wabash was near Vincennes late Wednesday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Vincennes. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Considerable agricultural flooding extends from just north of the junction of Illinois 33 with Business 50 to the St. Francesville, Illinois area. River Road from Lincoln Memorial Bridge to Billett Rd is impassable. Extensive seep water forms behind Illinois levees extending from Russellville to U.S. Highway 50. Flooding of agricultural land begins in Knox County Indiana west of the railroad extending for the Oaktown area to the north side of Vincennes. Extensive flooding of Small Creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM EDT Wednesday /8:45 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage was 16.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM EDT Wednesday /8:45 PM CDT Wednesday/ was 16.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
